Exactly a week after her confinement sa Toyota Marilao, my one year and two months old Avanza is finally home.

Thank you kay Arman ang service advisor who patiently endured my rants and questions and to Angel, my sales agent, for the assistance. Thank you din sa lahat ng mechanic ng Toyota Marilao at sa People’s Insurance.

I’m just so happy that she’s home na. Sobrang na-missed ko ang aking Avie.

Thank you LORD.  Happy ever!

Today is the 30th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution and it was declared a non-working holiday. Yehey! Bongga!

Avie still in confinement

Super upset dahil as of today nasa Toyota Marilao pa rin si Avie at baka sa Sabado pa daw mare-release kung hindi magkaroon ng problema. Yesterday I sent the scanned copy of my affidavit and driver’s license receipt sa service advisor thru email. He also sent me copies of a video and pictures ng broken radiator via email. In fairness sa kanya na-endure niya ang mga tanong at katarayan ko (he he he). I really appreciate his patience and assistance. I have to admit na mula nang ma-confine si Avie eh lalo akong na-stress at nadagdagan ang aking iniisip. I’ve been using Ravie papasok sa work since Tuesday. And although nagwo-worry ako na baka hindi na ganun ka road worthy ang aking RAV-4, in fairness nakarating ako nang maayos sa office at nakauwi  naman ng safe with very minor glitches.

I’ve been praying and asking God to release me from these worries and to teach me to trust Him more. Yesterday nga while I was having my devotion, swak na swak yung nasa Our Daily Bread as in napaiyak ako while reading the article. This morning, when I opened my FB, i saw this “quote” and napaiyak na naman ako. Thank you LORD for holding me.

peaceismoreimpt

Ikaw na po bahala LORD. I know You are in control of the situation and You will see me through hanggang maiuwi ko ulit si Avie.

The death of a friend and high school classmate

Sobrang nalungkot ako when I got the news na namatay na ang aking high school classmate, former barkada at dating crush  🙂  na si Romano Cataniag. He died due to complications of colon cancer. Nagpa-plano kaming pumunta sa wake niya later. May his soul rest in eternal peace with the LORD.

World Street Food Congress sa Pilipinas

For the first time in three years, the WSFC event will be held outside Singapore, and the Philippines has been chosen to be the foodie ground this 2016. Yahoo!

I remember when I went to Beijing China, super excited ako na puntahan ang kanilang street food center…

beijingtrip 029

Time to do my pendings

Haay.

Lord, I commit to You this day!

It came at a time when everything in my life are running smoothly………I’ve already arranged a schedule for the documents that I need to do for my clients, deposited the check for my December 2015 provincial allowance, planned a road trip with my Balikbayan cousin from Australia who wants to go shopping at S & R, my so-called “lovelife” is relatively better the past few days with less disagreements …then all of a sudden….something happened and it puffed the happy bubble….

Saturday, February 20, I drove my cousin and his wife to S & R Pampanga. We arrived there safely with less traffic. On our way home, we encountered heavy traffic and was stuck for almost an hour in Marilao and Sta Maria Bulacan. We were already in Poblacion when I noticed that there’s something wrong with Avie’s aircon. After a few minutes, the “temperature” red sign appeared on my dashboard so I drove on the side of the road and turned off my aircon. A traffic enforcer then came to our side and was pointing to something in front of Avie. When I went down to check I saw water squirting from Avie’s radiator. I immediately informed my agent about the problem. She called me a few minutes after and advised me not to drive Avie and have it towed na to Toyota Marilao. My heart was broken.

Good thing I have my Petron Value Card that offers free towing service as long as you have the enough number of points. I called the Petron Customer Service Hotline (02-4594735) and asked for assistance. The tow truck arrived after two (2) hours and we brought Avie to Toyota Marilao.

I was crying while taking these pictures of my beloved Avie:

avie1

avie2

Thank God because the tow truck driver, Benjie,  and his companion, were courteous and helpful. (Thank you JPB Towing Service). When Avie was already loaded sa tow truck, I rode with Benjie sa front ng truck together with my baby boy while his companion stayed with Avie at the back. On our way to Toyota Marilao, my RAV-4 was on convoy.  (Thank you Pastor Benny for driving Ravie).

We arrived at Toyota Marilao in less than an hour and Avie was endorsed to the guard on duty. After almost thirty minutes of doing the vehicle check list, I signed the document, gave Avie’s key to the guard and left the place with a heavy heart……

IMG_1796

I cried myself to sleep that night. I was in disbelief—–she’s just one year and two months old with 19,021 km. I couldn’t remember any incident during that time that may have cause the trouble. I was restless, worried and distraught.

But I thank God for His protection for He didn’t let us experience the problem at NLEX. At least we were almost home when it happened. And we were all okay and Avie was safely brought to Toyota Marilao.

Monday morning, I went to Toyota Marilao and after explaining the incident to a service advisor named Arman, he told me that he will take care of Avie. He called me after three (3) hours and told me that there was a hole in the radiator and hindi covered ng warranty because the mechanic said “natamaan daw ng bato” and such incident is considered an accident. Kaloka!

I demanded to see the report and Arman said he took a video. I argued with him at first but then after a few minutes I realized that its pointless  because if I will continue to contest their findings they will not fix the problem. So finally I acceded to their suggested option of using my insurance. But of course I have to pay my so-called “participation”. I got pissed when they told me na I need to submit a police report/blotter. There was no accident so why I would need a blotter. Grabe!!!! I told him to talk to his manager and to text me for updates. He also told me that Avie might be ready for pick up on Wednesday.

I’m praying for God’s provisions and for Him to steady my heart. I feel so restless. I miss my Avie!

I’m keeping the faith and trusting God. I know He is in control.

 IMG_0622

Watermelons are mostly water — about 92 percent — but this refreshing fruit is soaked with nutrients. Each juicy bite has significant levels of vitamins A, B6 and C, lots of lycopene, antioxidants and amino acids. There’s even a modest amount of potassium. Plus, this quintessential summer snack is fat-free, very low in sodium and has only 40 calories per cup.

Haay grabe!

IMG_4820

Soooobrang reckless niyo naman! Drive safely uy!

February 14, 2016…..heart’s day/valentines day

IMG_20160214_021135

Thank you labs! I thank God for you!

Last February 3, I celebrated my birthday with my family at Vikings SM City North EDSA The Block. Two (2) days prior to the feast, nag-text na ako sa Vikings para magpa-reserve and was told na may price increase sa kanilang lunch buffet, P738.00 plus 5% service charge na daw!! Whoosh!

IMG_8081

IMG_8065

IMG_8066

At dahil birthday ko, libre ang aking buffet (basta may kasama akong at least four full paying adults). Heto naman ang kanilang free birthday cake….

IMG_8073

Here’s my pic wearing the hat kasama ang aking gwapong baby boy.

IMG_8092

And this is the birthday gift from my labs….happiness!

IMG_4766 e

Thank you Lord for another year na ibinigay mo sa akin. Thank you sa Iyong katapatan sa aking buhay. More of You and less of me this 2016.

1.Kusina ng Gerry, Starmall City of San Jose Del Monte Bulacan

This is the “fast food” version of Gerry’s Grill. Walang waiter na pupunta sa table mo to get your order so ikaw ang pupunta sa counter, place your order, bayad muna then wait for your order na dadalhin sa table mo.

During our visit sometime in May of 2015, heto ang inorder namin:

IMG_2937

kusinanigerry

When we went to Starmall January of 2016, dapat dito ulit kami kakain pero hindi na Kusina ng Gerry ang naka-pwesto, Gerry’s Grill na.

2. Oh Nom, Dakila, Malolos City, Bulacan

IMG_2895

Isang Asian restaurant na nagbukas sa Malolos City in the latter part of 2014. Visited the restaurant together with our then-OJT na si Claudine sometime in January of 2015 and ito ang mga inorder namin:

IMG_2897

IMG_2900

IMG_2902

Early January 2016, nag-closed na ang resto.

3. Pizza Hut Petron NLEX Balagtas

During our last visit, heto ang mga foodies na inexperience namin:

foodieph1

foodieph2

Nag-closed na ang store bag0  matapos ang 2015.

4. Calda Pizza, Sta Clara Santa Maria, Bulacan

I was with my elementary friends when we visited this place.
