I’ve been worried and depress the past few days…..not being able to sleep and was overthinking…..but I guess it’s about time that I do what I am suppose to do…..

I was smiling while reading this article from abogado.com.ph about my law professor, Associate Justice Alexander Gesmundo. He was one of the applicants for the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
He was still Justice of the Sandiganbayan during that time and well he was really serious and strict. Actually, he was sort of a “terror professor”. But in fairness, we learned a lot from him despite his strict style of teaching and the nerve-wracking recitation. Personally, it helped me a lot during the bar exams. Oh yes, during the whole semester I did not see him smile. Well, he would occasionally smirk and give a sarcastic grin every time we answer his questions but that’s it.
Sir, Your Honor, I pray that His will be done in your life. If you will become the next Chief Justice then I will be one of those happy students who would proudly say….. “OMG! professor ko yan sa law school!!!”

Is he a snob or just determined? Associate Justice Alexander Gesmundo sets the record straight.
The former Sandiganbayan justice now applying to be the head of the Judiciary was surprised with a light question after a battery of intellectually-inducing queries from the interview panel of the Judicial and Bar Council.
Gesmundo was asked: “Do you think life is too serious to be taken too seriously? Our partners observed and asked: why don’t you smile in pictures?”
He was caught off-guard and chuckled, breaking the tension. “I think it’s my nature that when I talk to people and listen to people, I would rather be looking attentively. That’s how I am able to catch the attention of the person I am talking to,” the abogado explained.
