Wala pang pandemya when I visited this place…..ang ganda as in!
The temple was built in 2012 in honor of Leah Villa Albino Adarna, the grandmother of Ellen Adarna kaya ang temple ay tinatawag ding Taj Mahal of Cebu City
Kapag pwede na ulit mag-travel, I will definitely go back to Cebu and revisit this temple 🙂

Lost another Aunt this month!!!!
The news came as a shock as in! All the while I thought she’s doing well. No one told us that she got so depressed after the recent death of her sister due to COVID-19.
When I saw the FB post of her daughter, I had to message one of her grandchildren to confirm the news. It was so painful. We are still grieving due to the death of Tita Cila and now we have to deal with another death. Worst, we are unable to give them the last respect that they deserve as they need to be buried immediately.
Ahh….2021… why do you have to be so cruel….

And just now, while writing this post….I received a message that the husband of a cousin died today due to COVID-19….
Oh LORD have mercy….please give us strength and courage to face these challenges.
Last month, na-expire ang aking GCASH Mastercard na naka-link sa aking GCASH Account. At present I am having a hard time getting a new one dahil sa hindi ko malamang dahilan hindi ako ma-assist ng maayos ng GCASH customer service/support. Noong una sabi may magpapadala daw sa akin ng card bago ito ma-expire tapos may nagsabi naman na I need to order a new one then may nagsabi na I can purchase it daw pero hindi naman available sa mga sinabi nilang commercial establishments. Haaay 😦
So tonight out of desperation, nag-leave ako nang comment sa GCASH Facebook page asking for assistance. Then after a while may nag send sa akin ng message ang name ng sender ay “GCASH Cares Inquirys” Syempre hindi ko napansin yung weird na spelling at ang message niya looks legit:
Thinking na legit ang inquiry, naibigay ko ang aking personal details including the current balance of my GCASH Account. Nagtanong din siya ng birthday ko at naibigay ko din haaay so stupid of me. Then after a while may nagsend ng OTP sa phone ko at ang sender “GCASH” as in doon siya pumasok sa thread ng mga text messages ng GCASH. So yun naibigay ko din sa kanya ang OTP. Pero after a while medyo nagduda na ako nung twice na may nagsend sa akin ng activation code at hinihingi ulit ng kausap ko. Hindi ko na ibinigay sa kanya. Sinabi pa sa akin ng kausap ko na bibigyan daw niya ako nang free mastercard kaya lalo akong nagduda kasi hindi naman free yun. Nag-threat pa siya na kapag hindi ko daw ibinigay ang code ay madedeactivate ang GCASH account ko. Eventually hindi na niya ako kinausap. Siguro gumawa na siya nang paraan para makuha ang whatever pera sa GCASH Account ko.

Afterwards nanahimik na at hindi na ako kinausap. Siguro gumawa na nang paraan para makuha ang pera sa GCASH Account ko. Hinack na niya kahit hindi ko naibigay ang code at ang aking MPIN. That time talagang kinabahan na rin ako kasi feeling ko scammer nga siya and i feel so stupid na hindi ako nag-isip at naibigay ko ang mga importanteng personal details ko
So yun after a few minutes nakatanggap na nga ako nang text sa GCASH
Nakuha na ni scammer ang pera sa GCASH ko. Mabuti na lang at walang masyadong laman at thank you kasi tinirhan ako ng .71 centavos ng scammer. Jusko! Sana pala ipinambayad ko na lang ng plaka ang kaperahan ko. kaloka!
Tried calling the number, 0970-1296461, pero nirereject ang calls ko. After a while cannot be reached na ang number. Nireport ko sa GCASH ang nangyari and requested na i-check nila ung FB page na gumagamit ng logo ng GCASH. Ang concern ko din is how to protect my account lalo na at ginagamit ko ito to pay my bills.

I feel so stupid pero ayoko namang stress ng husto ang beauty ko. For now, hindi ko na muna lalagyan ng funds ang GCASH Account ko na ito hanggang hindi ako sure na secure na ito.
Mukhang ang modus ng scammer ay maghanap ng mga nanghihingi ng assistance sa GCASH FB page tapos imemessage nya at kapag kumagat ay yun na kukunin niya ang funds sa GCASH Account. Iniisip ko na lang na lesson ito sa akin to be more careful next time at huwag bigay ng bigay ng mga personal details dahil baka macompromise ang security ng aking finances.
Haaay….nakakaloka…ang daming gustong kumita ng pera the easy way…iniisip ko na lang at least nakatulong ako sa kanya…..anyway alam naman ni GOD ang ginagawa niya….and si GOD ang gaganti for me….Ipinag-pray ko pa nga na sana baguhin ni LORD ang puso niya at magbago siya….abuloy ko na in advance yung kinuha niya sa akin…. he he he
Next time huwag pong basta magpopost ng asking for assistance sa social media. If may query mas ok siguro kung i-direct message. Huwag din basta magrerespond sa mga chat ng tao o group na hindi mo kilala o wala sa friends’ list. Better check the legitimacy of the page bago magrespond. And huwag magbibigay ng mga personal information para hindi ma-compromise ang security and makuha ang iyong hard-earned money.
Sa mga friendship ko na may GCASH Account, be careful ha, never ever give your personal and account details to anyone.
UPDATE: (as of 11/3/2021) this morning tumawag ako sa GCASH customer service 2882 at nakausap ko ang mabait at very helpful na customer care representative na si Kris. Kinuwento ko sa kanya ang nangyari and after giving her the details of the unauthorized transaction, she prepared a report and told me she already blocked the number ng scammer para hindi na ito magamit for GCash transactions. Ang nangyari pala ay dahil sa nalaman ng scammer ang details about my GCASH Account siya ang nagrequest ng OTP and nung pumasok sa number ko at naibigay ko sa kanya nagkaroon na siya nang access sa account ko. She assured me though na since napalitan ko na ang aking MPIN hindi na daw ito ma-a-access pa ng hacker/scammer. Ang sad part lang ay since successful daw ang transfer hindi siya sure if mababalik pa ang pera ko. Nevertheless she assured me na i-e-escalate daw niya ito doon sa nag-iinvestigate na team. She also reminded me to be cautious and never give my personal details and account details ng basta basta.Wala din daw ibang platform ang customer care o support ng GCASH like chat or any page, thru 2882 lang or sa GCASH Help Center online.
Somehow napanatag ng konti ang loob ko with the assurance na hindi na ma-a-access ng hacker ang account ko kaya safe na ulit na gamitin. I will wait for five (5) days re: feedback and result ng investigation. I am praying for the best and I thank the LORD na hindi ganun kalaki ang laman ng GCASH account ko nung nangyari ang insidente. And buti na lang din na walang naka-link except the expired Mastercard at hindi ito naka-link sa bank accounts ko or sa Lazada. Really learned my lesson here not to be so desperate kaya hindi na masyadong nakakapag-isip 🙂 at huwag post ng post ng asking for assistance dahil nagiging easy prey ako nang mga scammers.
