Anyway, after posting the said entry I got a message from a church mate na nag-wo-work sa Toyota Head Office. She told me na she reported the matter to their customer service and she asked my permission kung pwede niyang i-endorse ito sa customer service ng Toyota Marilao. Opkors, pumayag naman ako.

Ilang oras lang ang lumipas I got a call from a number na wala sa aking phone book. Hindi ko nasagot kasi nasa hearing ako. After a few minutes I received a text message from a certain Ivy Magalong from Toyota Marilao Customer Relations. I asked her to call me after lunch.

So when finally eh nakausap ko siya she was very apologetic at inadmit niya na nagkaroon talaga sila nang lapses doon sa nangyaring 45KM PMS ng Avanza ko. I asked her kung yung pagre-refill ba nang coolant was part of the said PMS and she said YES. Of course part of her job was to convince me na bumalik sa Toyota Marilao and to regain my trust. I told her medyo mahirap pa sa ngayon. She also told me na may proposal daw na babayaran nila ang nagastos ko sa coolant at para sa “damage” that they’ve caused. Hmmmmm…..

Actually ang gusto ko sana kung sa Toyota Marilao ako magpapa-50KM PMS  eh libre na lang. Gusto nilang makabawi eh so kapag tinanggap nila ang counter-proposal ko, bawi na sila!

Well, di ko pa sinabi kay Ms. Magalong ang naisip kong proposal busy pa ako masyado 🙂 at medyo matagal pa ang 50KM PMS ko baka mid-November pa.

For now, hindi pa rin talaga ako confident na magpa-PMS sa Toyota Marilao.

Ayoko sanang mag-post ng mga “nega stories” in this blog, but I can’t help but rant about my recent experience with Toyota Marilao.

Last August 15, 2017,  I went to Toyota Marilao for the 45km PMS of my Avanza. My appointment was 1:30 in the afternoon but I went there early kasi kapag dumating ka nang after 15 mins of your scheduled time considered “walk-in” ka na.

I was assisted by a service advisor named Kim Hernandez.  He told me na medyo matagal daw ang waiting time kasi maraming i-che-check.

So at around 3:00 in the afternoon, natapos ang check up and I paid P5,041.31.  Tiwala naman ako na nung inuwi ko ang Avanza everything was in order.

Dahil sa Toyota Marilao ko binili ang aking Avanza doon na rin ako laging nagpapa-maintenance. There was only one time na nadala ko ang Avanza sa Toyota Plaridel dahil fully-booked ang Toyota Marilao. Sa mga nakaraang check-up ng Avanza ay maayos naman at satisfied ako sa kanilang serbisyo.

Then came August 21, 2017, holiday at paalis sana kami para pumunta sa mall. Buti na lang bago kami umalis ng house my “unico hijo” opened the hood ng Avanza to check yung loob. He then called my attention at ipinakita niya ang lalagyan ng coolant. Nagulat ang beauty ko.

Kaloka!!!!yung coolant eh nasa below “low” level na. Parang imposible naman na naubos agad eh August 15 lang ako nagpa-maintenance.  Isa lang ang naisip ko—-malamang hindi ni-refill ang coolant ko. Grrr! Buti pala hindi nag-over heat nung ginamit ko ang Avanza.

When I checked yung washer (green color) halos puno naman so ibig sabihin na-refill siya.

I then called up Arman Suing, yung isang service advisor ng Toyota Marilao para mag-ask ng help. He told me to turn on the engine kasi  nag-e-expand naman daw ang coolant. Sinunod ko naman siya pero wala, hindi man lang tumaas kahit konti, talagang super konti na lang ang coolant. When I asked him kung kasama ba yung pag-re-refill ng coolant sa 45km PMS hindi niya ako sinagot ng maayos. He then eventually advised me to buy a coolant at yung pink color daw ang bilhin ko.

Kaloka!!! Ilang days pa lang pagkatapos magpa-PMS heto at nagpapanic ako at nagkukumarat bumili ng coolant. Habang nag-da-drive ako papunta sa bilihan ng coolant, patay ang aircon ng sasakyan at nagdadasal ako na sana hindi mag-overheat ang Avanza. Buti na lang kahit holiday may mga open na shops kaso walang pink na coolant puro green color lang. I called Arman again and told him na wala akong mabiling pink coolant. Sarado naman ang Toyota Marilao kaya hindi ako makakabili doon. He then told me na kahit yung green bilihin ko na para ma-refill ang coolant ng Avanza.

After buying the coolant and refilling the container, tumuloy pa rin kami sa aming destination, pero twice kaming huminto sa gas stations para i-check yung coolant. Grabe! Nakaka-stress!

On August 23, I sent a text message sa Toyota Marilao informing them that I am intending to file a formal complaint/query sa nangyari. After a few minutes, a certain Cha called me and asked me about the problem. Sinabi ko naman sa kanya and told her na gusto kong malaman kung sa PMS ba eh kasama ang pagre-refill ng coolant? Kasi kung kasama iyon clearly hindi nare-fill ang coolant sa Avanza ko. Kung hindi naman kasali ang pag-re-refill noon hindi ba napansin ng nag-check na kaunti na lang ang coolant para nasabi sa owner na kailangan itong i-refill. Ano ba ang policy nila concerning radiator check or checking of fluids ng vehicle undergoing PMS. Hindi malinaw sa akin ang sagot niya at wala din siyang maibigay na maayos na sagot sa mga query ko. Mukhang wala rin siyang alam about it kaya she  told me na i-re-report niya yung query ko and she will get back to me after. Umasa naman ako na may tatawag nga sa akin o  may sasagot sa query ko. But unfortunately months na ang lumipas at malapit na ang 50Km PMS ng Avanza ko wala pa ring response at mukhang nakalimutan na ako nang Toyota Marilao.

Paano na lang pala kung hindi na-check na paubos na ang coolant? Malamang eh bigla na lang nag-overheat ang Avanza. Ako naman ay tiwala at umasa na noong nag-PMS ako eh maayos ang lahat just like the previous check-ups. Hindi ko ineexpect na hindi mapapansin ng nag-check na paubos na pala yung coolant. And worst, wala man lamang nag-explain o sumagot sa mga tanong ko. Walang nag-apologize o nag-appease man lang sa na-stress kong beauty. Kaloka!

For now, I don’t have plans of bringing my Avanza there for PMS. Natatakot ako na baka hindi na naman maayos ang maging check up ng Avanza. I used the vehicle almost every day and yung safety ko ang aking primary concern. Kaya nga bumili ako nang bagong vehicle kasi gusto ko somehow confident ako na yung vehicle hindi basta basta magbe-breakdown at makakarating ako nang maayos sa aking destination. Kahit ang mahal ng singil sa “casa” gora lang ang beauty ko kasi I was expecting na mas maayos at mas thorough ang ginagawang check up sa mga vehicles doon.  Hindi ko talaga ineexpect na may ganitong lapses at hindi pa na-handle nang maayos ang query ko.

This coolant issue is not cool ever! Haaay….
