Located at Tsim Sha Tsui East Waterfront Podium Garden, the place is full of statues representing famous actors/actresses (local and international) and their hand prints.
Right behind the hand prints is an exhibit called “Starlight Cinema” featuring murals of Hong Kong’s famous movie stars.
Loved the experience!

From Central Hongkong we walked towards the Star Ferry Pier as we will be riding the ferry in going to our next destination—-Tsim Sha Tsui!
Tsim Sha Tsui is an urban shopping area and a major tourist hub in Hongkong located south of Kowloon. It has many high-end shopping malls, hotels, restaurants and museums.
Of course this post will not be complete without the photos 🙂

The Peak, Hongkong/December 2017
We rode the iconic Peak Tram in going to Victoria Peak and the experience was oh so wonderful!
The Tram passes through four (4) stations along the way, Kennedy Road, MacDonnel Road, May Road and Barker Road. We rode at MacDonnel Road and we arrived at our destination in less than five (5) minutes.
The view from the Tram’s window was great (skycrapers, Hongkong’s harbour, beautiful buildings, trees, etc) but I was not able to take that much photo as the route was somewhat steep and I had to hold on to my seat.

After “experiencing” the Big Buddha, my next destination was the Po Lin Monastery which is also located at the Ngong Ping area in Lantau Island. It is known as the “Buddhist World in the South”. The monastery was established in 1906 and a “must-see” destination for tourists visiting Hongkong.
This is the Mountain Gate….

Po Lin Monastery/Lantau Island, Hongkong/December 2017
A 1.5 hectare open-air village with shopping area, souvenir shops and restaurants.
You can go to the village by riding the Ngong Ping Cable Car. The village is the sort of “passage way” in going to the Big Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery.
We walked and checked some shops selling authentic Chinese souvenirs and we also watched the short film “walking with Buddha”. And….we had coffee at Starbucks. Yipee!
What a great experience!
